UAE Announces Visa Exemptions for Dependents Tourist Visas
The UAE cabinet has approved on a new visa rule in which dependent tourists below 18 years old visa will be exempted from visa fees between the 15th of July and 15th of September every year.
The new law reduces to cost on families visiting the UAE during the summer holidays which supports family tourism in the UAE.
According the officials, this will boost the UAE’s position as one of top touristic destinations for families. Families always visit the country to enjoy its various family activities, festivals and historical destinations.
This law was among several other attempts to boost tourism as it is one of the main sectors that contributes to the growth of economy in the UAE.
In the first quarter of the current year, the number of passengers travelling through the UAE’s airports has reached 32.8 million.
Last month the cabinet approved another law to exempt transit passengers from entrance visa fees for 48 hours allowing them the option of 96 hours extension for 50 AED fees.
Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ajman are also contributing to such attempts as they announced earlier this year reduction on hotels fees for tourists.
