How to set up a business in Meydan
The following steps sum up the process of setting up a business in Meydan:
1. Choose a suitable business activity and a trading name
The first step is to identify suitable business activities for your company. When making this decision, there are a few things to consider, such as the type of products or services you offer, your target market, and your company’s mission and values. Additionally, three business names need to be submitted for consideration.
2. Application Submission
The application has to be submitted along with the investor’s passport copy and photographs. The fee will depend on the licence type and business activity.
- A trade licence costs AED 12,500 and enables three business activities.
- For businesses with more significant needs, the AED 14,350 package covers allocation for one visa.
- Bigger companies can opt for the AED 23,600 package, which covers up to six visas.
Depending on the nature of the business’s main activities, licences are available in three main categories:

3. Trade Licence
After the authority’s issuance of the trade licence, you need to apply for the investor visa for yourself and any other staff under your company’s employment.
